Master plan
A successful master plan shall ensure the economic efficiency of the resort. This requirement led our company to the necessity of developing several methods of financial analysis and planning to increase the profitability of existing resort facilities, as well as modeling the economic efficiency of new or reconstructed structures and related to them buildings. The analysis of the market is an important component of the resort building process. The company has a vast database of mountain resorts in the world, which includes historical information of visiting of resorts by skiers/snowboarders and statistical data on installed ropeways. We also monitor the increase in groups of potential customers of resorts and socio-economic trends, conduct targeted surveys to determine the preferences of resort customers and the structure of sales around the world.
Planning of mountain resorts requires special attention and includes not only creative thinking, but the accuracy of calculations and a thorough survey of the object. Development of the lift system design, programming of the ski service facilities is carried out using three-dimensional computer modeling. The land use plan in the development of the project plays an important role, and the most essential thing is to determine the optimal proportion of mountain structures and the system of lifts and lines.
Safety, avalanche hazard
Extreme and injury-risk type sports such as downhill skiing, snowboarding, mountain climbing and hiking require maximum security both during the construction of the ski resort and during the recreation. But often the great responsibility does not rest with the organizers of the mountain resort, because in most cases, injuries are a consequence of non-compliance with safety rules and reassessment of own abilities.
To prevent all kinds of accidents, there is a certain set of rules that must be aboded both by the organizers and visitors. So, for a start let’s consider standard measures of safety of mountain slopes, which include the following: fencing of dangerous places; designation of the boundaries of places for skiing; marking the complexity, avalanche danger of the tracks and their status (“open”, “closed”), as well as notification of obstacles at the beginning of the slopes, the numbering of all routes; presence of rules of behaviour on the slopes in a place accessible to all skiers; the presence of net catchers and mats in hazardous locations; marking the skiing areas, the edges of the tracks, the availability of dedicated services: for the preparation and operation of tracks, avalanche control service, rescue service.
